At 37, I was told I had been diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer.
A diagnosis that does not only affect me, but our entire family. We are going to tackle this ugly thing head on, with faith and fight!
The Core FOUR
My guys are my everything and my inspiration to tackle this with such clear direction and purpose. As Chris and I take the brunt of the impact, it is important to us to keep the boys lives as unaffected as possible- though we know this journey will change all of us!
I know that I will be a different person at the end of this and that is OK, in fact I have a feeling we all will.
We are blessed to have such amazing support systems through our families, friends, work and even those we are just forming relationships because of this new life we are living. The genuine love and comfort we have been shown does not go unnoticed or unappreciated. These first few weeks have been directly fueled by those who have stepped up in so many imperative ways including sitting with me during appointments, helping with the boys, prayers, connecting me to others who have gone through this journey, and so much more.
Commitment to our Faith
Our faith continues to be the foundation of our family and if anything, we are leaning in now more than ever to the grace that God has to offer. We are committed to focusing on the good and holding on to the wins as they come!
What Help looks like
We have been asked by so many what help looks like for us and at this point it is helpful to have some of the planning taken off our plates.
